Eastern Province English Drama Winners - Kalkudah-Puthukudiyiruppu Vani Vidyalayam of Batticaloa

A huge round of applause to the students of Kalkudah-Puthukudiyiruppu Vani Vidyalayam of Batticaloa, winners of the Eastern Province English Day Drama (Senior – Dialogue) Competition 2025, held on October 12!

Guided by their dedicated teachers Rev. Fr. Norton and Mrs. Diana Wellington, they first won at the district level and proudly represented Batticaloa at the provincial event. I had the joy of spending some valuable hours training them before the big day and investing on their drama ambitions of the future.

It’s truly inspiring to see these talented children from diverse and challenging backgrounds triumph over many elite schools of the region. It is worthy of mentioning that these students competed with D. S. Senanayake College (Ampara) and St. Antony’s College (Trincomalee) at the provincial level to become Eastern Province Champions!

Keep cheering for them as they prepare to compete at the upcoming National Levels, representing Eastern Province.
